Per-project security
StaffSense does not force one monitoring policy on the whole company. Each project owns its toggles. The agent fetches that policy on clock-in and only starts enabled monitors.
Time only (software teams)
Typical engineering project:
- App tracking off
- Browser URLs off
- Screenshots off
- Recording off
- Clock in / out + idle detection only
Full surveillance (sales / PCI-sensitive)
Typical overseas sales project:
- Track apps & window titles
- Track browser URLs
- Automatic screenshots (interval + optional blur)
- Consent banner required before clock-in
- Configurable retention (auto-purge)
- Input activity counts optional — never keystroke content
Screenshots and URLs from cardholder workflows can expand PCI scope. Prefer retention limits, blur where appropriate, and strict who-can-view audit logs.
Security presets
Admins can create named presets (beyond the built-in Time only and Full surveillance) under Console → Security presets, then apply them when creating a project or on a project’s security page.
Where to configure
Console → Projects → select a project → security toggles (or apply a preset). Changes apply on the next clock-in for that project.
